Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil
This week I bought the Clarins Huile "Tonic". It comes as a set at the moment with two other items free - smaller versions of the Smoothing Body Scrub and the Extra Firming Body Cream.
The tonic oil is meant to improve skin elasticity to prevent stretch marks and to maintain skin firmness. I like that it's made with 100% pure plant extracts like Hazelnut, Rosemary, Geranium and Mint, which also give it a lovely scent. I'm not sure if any firming and toning is going on but it does make my skin super soft and feels luxurious to put on :) The same for the body cream. The best thing about this set might be the scrub, I love it! I had tried it before and now I'm totally convinced, I must get the full size :)

Little Travel Luxuries
Besides the travel essentials - passport, tickets, camera, the bf ;) I love bringing along a few items to make the getaway just that bit cozier. These are ten things (as pictured above) that I usually add to the basics...
1. A night dress or lingerie - Anything I'm sleeping in has got to be super comfortable and preferably light.
2. Magazines - Lots of reading material for long journeys and waiting around.
3. Tea or coffee - I usually pick this up along the way in whichever city I'm in. It's so comforting to make a good tea when I'm back in the hotel/apartment, especially if I've been out in bad weather.
4. Accessories - Mostly rings and bracelets. Sunnies come in handy too!
5. A scarf - This is really necessary for me as it can be used to keep warm when it's a bit chilly especially on the plane, as a headrest to sleep on and also as a cover-up in case I visit a place of worship.
6. Hair treatment - This is where it starts to get a little crazy. On my last trip I actually got my Mum to assist me in decanting my Moroccan hair oil in to a little plastic container. And my Fekkai Protein RX Treatment Mask. I must say it was really worth it though, plus I love the nutty smell of argan oil!
7. A scented candle - A small scented candle to fill a room with fragrance is just so lovely and it also makes a nice little gift.
8. Lip balm - I use Vaseline and probably have most of the different tins from Spf 15 to Cocoa butter, but I still like the original best.
9. Perfume - I always carry a mini bottle of my favourite scent :)
10. Ghds - Finally the one hair styling tool I bring are my ghds! Loving the new set I bought recently, the Scarlett collection which also comes in a gorgeous red clutch.

Salzburg
The old town and the fortress:
The town courtyard, streets and small passageways are so pretty. Unfortunately many of the shops were closed as it was a Sunday but we could see through the windows some lovely artwork, charming little ornamental pieces and jewellery amongst other things. Luckily the cafes and chocolate shop were open so we didn't miss out on a traditional coffee and a lush dessert!
Visiting Mozart's birthplace (Geburtshaus) and a choir of students:
Salzburg is a really beautiful cultural city, I would love to go back again. It's also very close to Munich so you can get there within 1 to 2 hrs by train along a scenic route through the countryside.

Staying in Munich
Our trip this past May began in Munich. We were excited to be back in Germany! This time I was travelling with my boyfriend and my friend Keira :)
We stayed in Munich for only one night before moving on to Austria. We had never tried Airbnb before but decided to book a few nights, including the first, in apartments we had found on the website. I loved our cozy Munich pad; Very comfortable and located in a pretty area near the Nymphenburg Palace...
If you're thinking of staying in Munich this apartment is perfect for a couple and even fit three of us well, with one sleeping on the large pull-out sofa. That being said, after a 13hr flight, jet lag and a few glasses of wine we were pretty much ready to pass out on the kitchen floor! See this accommodation and our lovely host Jamie here on Airbnb ;)
In the morning, Keira and I took a walk to the palace while Schah went to Marienplatz to meet a friend. By noon we were off to the hauptbahnhof and catching a train to our next destination, beautiful Salzburg in Austria.
